Capturing interlocking and bulk goods

For today’s assignment I had to travel 250 km south to the beautiful province of Limburg, near the Belgium border. Main goal today was to capture the way how Limpens uses the interlocking products of Netherlocks.

Together with the representatives of my client, Netherlocks, we arrived around 08.00 am on the premises of Limpens, a full logistics service partner in the field of storage and handling of bulk goods (like plastic granulates, pvc powders and other commodities).

We had to overcome two main challenges:

  1. the weather forecast predicted some rain later in the morning which might interfere with the outdoor shots, and
  2. the CEO of Limpens was only available for an interview untill 11.00 am.

No time to waste! As safety is always important and especially on the premises of Limpens, I had to wear safety gear while mounting a big bulk trailer in order to shoot the loading process.

To complement the necessary footage with extremely interesting B-roll, we were given the opportunity to climb the 40 meter high silo’s on a vertical ladder. No sinecure, I can tell that. The tripod was hoisted, but the camera stayed with me! Though the sky was by this time overcast, the view was superb. Meaning, we were treated with a very industrial scene as Limpens is very close to Sabic on the Chemelot Industrial Park. Very usefull indeed!

Around 12.30 pm we had all the shots needed. Now it is up to Sander Peeters of Netherlocks who will be in charge of the editing process.

Final result:
